What to expect
This program provides fresh produce, bread and bakery, meat and refrigerated items and various non-perishable products to any household on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Patrons for regular distribution may come as often as once a week.
A registration form is required to be filled out for regular distribution and should be completed on a Patron's first visit to the Pantry, where the Patron will state his name and address and the names and ages of each member of his household. A downloadable form is available below.
Patrons can usually expect their regular distribution bags to contain:
Bakery Items: Choice of one loaf of bread and one pastry item;
Fresh Produce: Depending on availability, free choice of fresh fruits and vegetables;
Cereal : Oatmeal or dry breakfast;
Milk: Boxed when fresh is not available;
Meat & Refrigerated: Eggs and dairy items, substantive meat, poultry or fish servings, side dish meats such as bacon or sausage, sandwich meats and hotdogs, deli sandwiches and salads and pre-packaged, frozen meals are generally available, and a selection from such items that is compatible with the Patron's family size and supply will be provided;
Non- Perishables: Canned vegetables, beans, soup, chicken or tuna, fruit, spaghetti sauce, a box of rice or potatoes or stuffing, spaghetti noodles, and a box of macaroni and cheese.
Every attempt is made to insure equitable distribution of products to each of our Patrons. However, variations in the number and total weight of products as well as in the particular products provided will occur due to availability on any given day.
Please also note that it is not our intention, nor would it be within our means, to provide a Patron with an entire week's worth of groceries. Rather, we hope to supplement our Patrons' abilities in such regard, with the goal of providing the ingredients for three quick breakfasts, three simple lunches and three work or school night dinners each week.
